Realization at Santa Barbara Beach

After our one night stay at the LA ashram we all woke up in our tents a bit later then we had planned. We were all still blissed out from Mother’s arrival and happy to be out of the campgrounds that we forgot to get up. When we walked down to the ashram we saw a table full of muffins and danishs although we had to restrain ourselves until meditation.

Afterwards we found out that we would have the opportunity to help out to Mother’s house for the duration of the tour. We all picked a day to go and help out starting with Sanjeev and Dennis. Then we went through the normal routine of having to pack the vans which we almost have to system, but yet it still takes us a few hours to get ourselves together and out.

We now had a new driver with us driving the white tour van replacing Uncle Ray and we all felt like we were getting places ten times faster. Fast, but SAFE!. Now on our way to Santa Barbara we were fully ready to give realization.

We went directly near the beach and settled out stomachs with pizza as we scoped out the area for potential areas of seekers. Then we found a street corner that seemed to be shady but cozy and inviting.

It was a bit a slow, as the Spanish festival was already over, although we managed to find some seekers interested in having their ascent. All in all we had a good time singing bhajans, playing sitar, and meeting new people.

We all made our way back to the campground and thankfully a van already went early to set up the tents. When we arrived we all filled our faces with some of the best food so far prepared by the Santa Barbara yogi’s and LA ashram yogi’s.

And then to end the day we had a visit from the park sheriff to be quiet! Some of us quietly snuck out of the camp to footsoak and do camphor treatments with spoon made out of aluminum. We almost got ran over and burn our hands with spoons. We all got a bit silly afterwards with our midget kung fu demonstration, but we made it back to the camp safe and sound.
