Realize America Tour - Day 10

As told by Anjana Trumbo

I think for the first time in my life I woke up sea sick today. I rolled out of Jeremys water bed feeling surprising rested for having rolled around all night long. The girls and I walked groggily down to breakfast but we immediately woke up when we saw the tremendous breakfast laid down before us. There were mounds of scrambled eggs along with stacks of toast. I think there was every type of cereal imaginable on that single table. Along with other amazing treats there was a mango strawberry pie too. A single bite of the delicious pie was all that I need for an excellent start to the day. But, there was one thing that was missing for a great morning was meditation. As if to answer my prayers Aunty Tracy came to the table and told the gobbling yuvas that we were going to have a short puja this morning. We finished off our food and then hurried over to the mediation room.

Shreya lead all of us in a beautiful puja. Not only did we have a lovely puja, all the yuvas got to participate in the puja. We passed around the mantra book and almost every one got to read a snippet of the “Kavach of the Devi.” After finishing the puja we still felt like the vibrations of the left side were a bit off. After lay out in the sun for a bit we re-treated back into the house for a string burn. For those of you reading who dont know a string burn is a very useful technique that can be used for clearing out the left side of the subtle system. Basically, all the people participating in the string burn take a 10 inch cotton string and, through out the course of the treatment, they tie 7 knots that correspond with each of the chakras. When all the negativity for each chakra has been trapped in the 7 knots, the participants put mustard oil on the string. Then one person goes outside and burns all of the strings together.

I lead the string burn. A lot of the yuvas had never participated in a string burn before so it was a great experience to be able to show other people how to do such a productive and full- filling technique. After we completed the string burn we all felt a lot more energetic then we ate a scrumptious lunch. Some how, interestingly enough, we didnt hit the road to Detroit until 6 p.m. I guess packing just took a really long time.

However, the car ride passed by amicably with exploding chip packets strange stories about lemon flavored chickens with Brazilian goats. Later, rather then sooner, we arrived in Detroit around 11 p.m. We were warmly welcomed by the Michigan collectivity in Denniss house. Aunty Adrianne, Uncle Tino, Giselle, and Ruthvick cooked us delicious food. We feasted on Brazilian Lasagna, Indian Soup, Bulgarian Beet salad, and strawberry cake. After being well fed, everyone retired to bed. I drifted off the sleep easily after having such a vibrationally calming and relaxing day.
