July 3^rd we spent giving realization and enjoying the collectivity in Detroit. The day was started with a collective candle treatment and morning meditation. Shortly after breakfast we all piled into the vans and headed off to the University of Eastern Michigan. We set our selves up on the grass under some trees with the campus buildings around on one side and shops on the other. A group of some people went off postering through the shops while others started setting up to give realization. The bhajans started and as the vibrations grew people came. Many people got realization that day: intellectuals, businessmen, students, tourists, and children. The highlight of the day was probably the group of teenagers. There were about 40 of them in total, all part of some tourist group. They all gathered round attracted by the drumming and sat down picking up a drum, clapping and joining in singing Jago Savera. Quite a few of them had realization. It was really joyful to see their response and enthusiasm to the vibrations and music. Late in the afternoon/ early evening we packed up and headed to a river where we had a collective foot soak led by Aunty Ville and Denis. For dinner we met the Detroit collective at Uncle Shail and Aunty Ruchi�s house. There was a potluck dinner with a variety of food from Indian to Italian. There must have been about 35 yogis squeezed into Aunty and Uncles flat. We all went round the room introducing ourselves and saying where we were from and what we were doing. There was a great feeling of love and unity in that room and coming from the collective. The hospitality and love of the Midwest collectives is really outstanding and memorable. Quickly the bhajans began and everyone started dancing. At the point it must have been early in the morning but the joy just continued. We finally ended with a meditation and headed back to Aunty Ville and Uncle Tino�s house with many sleepy heads.
