Realize America Tour - Day 13

July 10th, 2007 by Realize America Team | Comments Closed

Everyone was really sleepy this morning and it took some time to wake everyone up since we all stayed up really late till around 4:30ish the night before. I woke up by the sound of Laxmi and Chetna telling everyone that breakfast is ready and that they had made chocolate-chip and banana pancakes which sounded really good to my starving stomach so I woke up right then and went downstairs and sure enough there were two dishes full of chocolate chip and banana pancakes, scrambled eggs, and all the other good stuff for breakfast. Some people enjoyed their breakfast outside in the deck which was very nice and faced the pond. After everyone was well satisfied with their breakfast we had a collective guided morning mediation which was great. Right after that we had a long discussion about uncle Manojs e-mail addressing mothers concern about the state of Sahaja Yoga in America which was quite interesting because everyone was really concerned and everyone was being very active and coming up with different ideas which made the conversation keep going on for some long time and Chen-Chia being the organized person started taking notes about the stuff we were talking about. But everyone was really deep in discussion so we totally lost track of time and decided we should start packing and get ready to leave. In the meantime we had lunch and listened to music which made Chris and Jeremy start dancing. We were really sad that Dennis couldnt come with us back to Chicago anymore since he was leaving for Cabella, Italy on Saturday. We were all just saying bye to each other when suddenly a bee decided to sting my leg which hurt pretty bad and its still itching to this day. So after our very sad goodbyes we left toward Chicago. And the ride was like any other day in the van some people chatting, some eating snacks, and some were dancing and singing bhajans. After long drive we stopped at the Indiana Dunes beach and swam for a while. It was so much fun! By the time we left the beach everyone was tired and we all wanted to get home but we kind of got lost which made it take it even longer. But finally we reached aunty Lubas house at around midnight who is a great hostess and gave us turkey wraps, soup, chicken, rice, and so much more food and fruits. After eating dinner we all just went to sleep since we were pretty tired even though we didnt do a lot today but after all it was a joyful day.
